Stolen Stuff Alert!
This is a letter about some goods that were stolen. Give it a read and let yer conscience be yer guide.

Help us help our friends!
In the wee hours of November 13, ten autographed Down on the Farm Festival posters and an autographed original painting of Warren Haynes were stolen from the Tobacco Barn/Artist Hospitality Area at the Down on the Farm Festival in Qunicy, Florida.
The ten posters were signed by all of musicians who participated in the festival, and the proceeds were to be donated to Habitat for Humanity's Hurricane Katrina relief fund and to a children's musical education charity.
The autographed painting of Warren was a special engagement gift from a young man to his new fiance (he had just proposed to her at the festival). He had the painting specially commissioned for the occasion.
We are all saddened by the theft of these special items. We in the jam band community have always considered ourselves one big happy family. It's a shame that someone in our midst would stoop so low as to steal from such worthy charities and from a young couple celebrating the beginning of their new life together.
If you know the person who stole these items, please encourage him/her to return them to the Down on the Farm Festival staff so they can then be returned to their rightful owners. No questions will be asked. If you are the person who stole these items, we hope that your conscience convinces you to right this wrong.
The items should be sent to:
Down of the Farm Staff
Spanish Moss Farm
1300 Ball Farm Road
Qunicy, FL 32352
Thank you,

If you live in Maine, get out and vote
Hey y'all,
I just wanted to post a last minute reminder, to all you Main'iacs, to remember to vote today 11/8/05. As most of you know there is a long standing issue in Maine, regarding equal rights for people regardless of sexual orientation. As it stands now, the law provides that discrimination, is O.K. in the workplace, if you are Gay. This sort of thinking seems archaic to me, and I urge people who haven't done so to get out and vote, NO on question 1. If you disagree with me that is fine as well, and would have no objection to anyone saying so on their own dang blog.
Good Day and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow,
Rob

home on the range
greetings,
sorry I've been remiss in keep in keeping up w. my blogging duties. I'll do my best while I'm home.
thanks to all for making our west coast run a good one. if nothing else, it was a good experiment to see what would happen if we teamed up w. some friends for a tour. the mule guys were great & we enjoyed working & playing together. hope to get a few shows up for official download very shortly.
also, thanks to all for the love & support in vegas. we had a great time - no sleep, plenty of great music & good friends.
as you may have guessed by now, there will be no further touring thru '05, other than our thanksgiving & NYE runs. we are going to be spending the better part of december trying to wrap up our recording. if all goes as planned (does it ever?) it should be released sometime before my expiration date.
our '06 winter will begin in late january, as usual. very much looking forward to getting back out on the road & doing our own thing. our experiences this past summer & fall were fantastic, but it will be nice to play a proper moe.show again. we will do our best to play everywhere all the time - especially your hometown/collegetown/favorite destination ; )
take care,
al.
