Hey, Kiddos, Recording is on the way!

So, as you may know, we have begun recording our next studio album. The two shows at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine were just two "sessions" out of ten days worth of tracking during which we laid down the whole band playing live, but essentially we were going for the "big beat",..... the heart of Rock N' Roll, as it were. We will be having some more studio sessions to record vocals, guitars, etc...... but Thanks to everyone who came out and became a part of our next disc!!

Let's start from the beginning......
When these songs were young or as-of-yet-unplayed, we went to the Palladium in Worcester, Mass., and The State Theatre in Portland to rehearse and build. Sometimes in the heat of Summer, other times in the friggin' cold of deepest winter....... you may be able to tell the season by the attire....

The reason we chose to return to thePalladium & State in June was because of the natural ambience, reverb and overall vibe. It sounded good and we were relatively comfy.
OK, so it's time to do preproduction and get things organized. Al rounds up a new recording rig with a whole lot of consultation by : Bil.

Bil Emmons, recording engineer and "monitor guy" extraordinaire, stares longingly at the Neumann microphone that will soon aid in the making of history.......
The two of them revamped our entire live recording rack to be able to do a BIG-TIME RECORDING. Thanks, guys!!!

My amp-pile, the stage with "custom" decorations, Al's amp-pile......
To everyone who came to the shows, I'm sure you had some tales to tell yer friends.... a mild flood in midfield by the tapers,..... a building-clearing alarm... 1,700 people in the street......
Oh, yeah, sorry 'bout that "pressed ham" from the second floor, by the way!

heh heh.

Until next time,
chunk
