Ohayo gozaimasu!! Howdy from Japan, Y'all

So I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on our auspicious return to the land of Fuji. We have been cruising about, eating unpronounceable foods, gawking at & photographing the usual tourist spots, riding the bullet train and even playing a couple of shows. Luckily, I do not have the CRAZY jetlag I was endowed with last time we spent a week here. I felt like I was dragging a large rock around underwater while stockhausen played in the distance.
As you may ( or may not ) know, many of our past bloggings have been somewhat ironic or of a dubious nature. I feel it's time for some serious journalism, so I'll get to it soon ( but seriously, your mom says "hi!" ).

Actually, this nice gentleman helped us navigate the far reaches of Osaka, the first city on our tour.

A couple shots from our walking tour in Ikoma, a 35 minute train ride from downtown Osaka.

My shoes were a little too tight and I knew I would be walking for hours, so I took matters ( and Steve's knife ) into my own hands..... You might think this is a strange way to solve my problem, but the largest size in nearly every single shoe store in Japan is 10. One place had a "King-Size" rack, but size 13 can look like clown shoes from the thrifty store if you're not careful! I felt this was a much more tasteful solution.

More to come, folks! We are about to play in Tokyo tonite, next is Yokohama, then the loooong plane ride home!
Once I get some wits about me, I promise to update pics, tell tales of our butchery of the Japanese language and all sortsa nonsense that went down on this cool trip.

wait...

we are not breaking up. I think Rob just needs a break. I know we've only been on the road for a few days, & haven't played a single show yet... but Rob has been very distant & erratic. he also appears to have been lifting weights again. he seems very agro. I think he may be juicing again. he's been walking around all day mumbling "hiatus... hi...ate....us....he ate us? hiyah tus!, etc." very strange.

Important Announcement

It is with a heavy heart that I make this announcement. After 15 some odd years we have decided to call it quits. Moe.down will be the last performance that moe. will play as a band. The band thanks everyone for their support over the years, it was a great ride. There will be a more formal, detailed announcement on the news page shortly.
